Overview:
    The first of the Smithforge Heavy Industries 'Reforged' Series, the Archer Retrofit was
    launched to a marketing campaign at least as impressive (and far more expensive) than the
    Battlemech itself.
    
    The true secret of the Archer-SR's success likely comes from the tie-in Canopian Holodrama
    'Tournament of Houses', popular throughout the Inner Sphere, with various Noble Inner Sphere
    Mechwarriors battling each other in the most classic and recognizable war machines - only to
    have their individual conflicts swept aside as they are forced to unite against a perverse,
    inhuman, almost magical enemy from beyond the sphere.
    
    The fact that terrible early losses and setbacks were corrected only when the holodrama
    heroes received 'Reforged' war machines from 'Smith's Forge', located far to the South, may
    have been heavy handed.  It was also effective.  Sales outstripped production, and
    Smithforge Heavy Industries borrowed extensively against sales for future deliveries to
    retool and expand its production lines.

Capabilities:
    Unsurprisingly for the first of the series, the Reforged Archer is a qualitative improvement
    over its succession wars predecessor but not particularly innovative.  Like its parent
    design, it focuses on LRM delivery, backed up by a handful of medium lasers for emergency
    protection.
    
    The combination of an advanced power plant, lightened structural members, and most
    importantly the advanced heat sinks frees the weight to allow four 15-tube missile systems
    and maintain fire until their ammunition is depleted.
    
    While the CASE in the side torso will not prevent an ammunition explosion from bringing the
    machine down, it is enough to save the Mech and its pilot for recovery, a fact appreciated
    by the pilots.
    
    Close Defense weaponry remains the same, a quartet of medium lasers backed up by the
    machine's heavy battle fists, though the lasers have been relocated to all fire forward.
