This is the most flexible assault in 3025 able to handle almost all situations. There are mechs of its class with better weapons or better armor but here is a very good combination of the vital components: firepower, armor, speed and heatsinks.

Ahhh, a good old fashioned brawler! The 'Mech of the great Hanse Davion. I continue to question the necessity of the machine guns on an assault 'Mech, but the rest of the weaponry is quite nice. The rear firing lasers are a luxury, but there's not too much reason to remove them. They could not be forward mounted without increasing the strain on the heat systems. Armor is fairly good on this machine, though not completely ideal. Perhaps that is something that removing the machine guns could be used for.
A note on the SRM launcher, it carries 30 rounds. Therefore, feel free to use it a lot. You're unlikely to run out of ammo, unless you are fighting back to back battles, and there your main concern will likely be damage anyway. Good, solid design. Not too much more to say really.

The Battlemaster may not have the most powerful weapons, but it's well armored, fast and it's short range guns, while light, can cause a lot of damage. Technically the same damage output can be produced by lowly Jenner, but the light 'Mech can hardly deal with the heat, while the Battlemaster can fire four lasers and SRMs while running and this all without any heat buildup. The PPC is there just to allow the pilot to retaliate, but as everyone knows the BLR performs best when fighting at close range, especially when it can add some melee damage. Rear facing medium lasers are quite useful, because the rear armor isn't that thick. I would drop some MG ammo to improve that. Nice and powerful design and a damn tough opponent.

BooYA baby. This is the ultimate machine. An Assault that does not get left behind, armor to take it in the shorts, and a choice of weapons to handle all types of targets. I have seen it in duels, where it fairs average, but in a lance or scenario this monster makes it happen. Many complain of the MGs or SRM, but this is a war machine for any enemy.
GM- One of true anyone uses Mechs. Like all assaults I use sparingly. Really seems to get players bent out of shape when I put in on the board. Does cause havoc and damage and seems to survive.

My favorite 'mech of all time, and this and the WHM-6R are the reasons I started playing all those years ago. The PPC is to keep other 'mechs on their toes until you get into ML and SRM range, then you go to town. If you happen to stumble upon infantry (of the non-elemental type) the MG's really prove their worth (although if I were infantry and saw this coming I'd run) I have used this 'mech on several occasions, and have been successful against Atlases, Awesomes, and countless heavies. Simply one of the best designs of all time.
