A mech with full armor and lots of firepower plus the heat sinks to use it would deserve a high rating but you cannot overlook those flaws.
It has the armor and the standard engine to last long on the battlefield but with only 10 shots you can easily end up in close combat without your main gun.
As was mentioned before the placement of the ER laser on the same side as the ammo is a bad idea.
And why was this left lower arm actuator removed? A rather strange decision on a close combat mech. |

A very effective unit that should get a lot more reconition. My only complaint is the pulse, (but then I hate pulse on anything). |

This is a hard-hitting mech with a very bad (or even crippling) design flaw. The mech's got CASE, but both main weapons are out of action if the AC ammo explodes. No wonder the factory had trouble keeping up with battle losses! If they had stuck the ER Large Laser in the Left Arm this mech would be worth at least double the rating I gave it. Half a Shootist that can help out by sniping at 19 hexes would be worth something, but a crippled mech with a few short-range lasers is just so much baggage. |

Cheap and effective. This mech is 1 of the better urban brawlers around for IS. The standard engine will keep this thing moving for a long time even if it half its body get blowned to shreds.
The AC20 can use more ammo though, although there is still the Lb-20X option which is a ton lighter that can be use for ammo. |

I'd replace the two MPLs with standard medium lasers and turn the small laser into additional armor, but beyond that this is as close to perfection as you are going to get.
Another possibility would be a Gauss rifle variant. |
