After consideration and playing many times against the THawks in their various forms I have to say they all universally die faster than any of the other hundred tonners of the era. Every single game I see those Gauss rifles get exploded over and over again. Totally over rated. I would 10 times out of 10 rather field a Devastator one of the upgraded Pillagers with the SFE, or better yet. Just grab an Awesome. They all are more survivable, and are better equipped to take extra heat than the THawk, and in the case of the Devastator much more likely to make an opponent avoid action. This gets a 3 from me.

As good as the -7X with a minor change in point defense.
Two pulse lasers in place of the standard laser quartet will give you a better chance to hit fast light / hovers / VTOL´s and prevent fast heat buildup but you´ll pay for it withsome range and firepower.

A real sniper's mech. The only thing u need to put some beat down on the clanners while comparable to their terms.
Single heatsinks are kinda dumb though but i suppose no 1 is going to use the pulse lasers soon. Thunderhawks are guranteed to kill something on the field, unless u stick a really crap pilot into the TDK, which something u should not do.
To avoid the glass jaw syndrome, just sit back and fire away. Dont go into brawls unless u have too.

The pulse lasers are kind of stupid here. They've got no range, and you halve your point defense compared with the 7X. Still, this is a Thunder Hawk, so it's still guaranteed to rip your head off unless you're driving a Daishi or the like.

Well, a real sniper mech, this thing will rip apart anything quickly and it has the armour to survive the lucky long range shots coming its way, it works well in conjunction with Awesomes and Marauder II's creating the optimum Inner Sphere sniper squad.
