Overview:
    While not as flexible or durable as a Battlemech, the Velites brings most of the armor,
    speed, and firepower of a Centurion for half the price.

Capabilities:
    Fitted with a GM 200 full cell engine, the top speed of the Velites is 64.8 km/h while its
    cruising speed is 43.2 km/h. Although this is slower than the average medium mech by 22
    km/h, it is capable of keeping up with most fire support 'Mechs and main battle tanks. The
    Velites has the potential to earn a reputation for itself as a front-line combat vehicle
    thanks to seven and a half tons of armor.
    
    The Velites carries a Federated AC/10 as its primary weapon, mounted in the turret and fed
    by a two-ton ammunition bin in the body. The originally selected Luxor D was replaced in the
    final design by the Federated Autocannon used on the Enforcer; this was due to the priors
    loading system being notorious for its defects that forced many technicians lacking the
    necessary spare parts to replace the whole system with another weapon. Also supporting the
    Velites's long range fire capability is a Luxor 3R LRM-10 with two tons of reloads, which
    allows the Velites to both assist in a fire support and to be used against 'Mechs closing
    with the Velites. As its last tertiary weapons, the Velites carries in its turret a LFN
    Lindblad machine gun; this allow the vehicle a close range striking power against infantry
    who make it through the combined barrage of autocannon and LRM fire.

Deployment:
    Corean Enterprises is hoping to sell this solid unit to the AFFS for garrisons and
    Mercenaries unable to afford to field 'Mechs.
